Alissa Mazer provides massage therapy for E3Sports as part of the E3Sports performance training program for clients. Alissa obtained an AOS from the Swedish Institute of Health Sciences in New York City. She holds a New York State License to practice Massage Therapy. She is also a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
Alissa is certified in Deep Tissue/Myofascial Release, Trigger Point
Therapy, Sports, Shiatsu, and Swedish Massage. She uses a combination
of these modalities to best meet the needs and objectives of her
clients. Alissa’s passion for sports and her desire to help athletes of
all levels is what drew her to Massage Therapy as a career. Being a
four-time marathon runner and exercise enthusiast, Alissa understands
the training, injuries and stresses that are part of an active
lifestyle. Alissa’s passion is to keep people healthy, happy, and
performing at their best during every stage of life. She understands
the many intricacies associated with individuals who may be competing,
training, recovering, or simply seeking a more satisfying level of
physical fitness. She loves educating people on the advantages massage
brings to the caliber of their sports training, along with their
overall health and quality of life.
Alissa focuses her professional attention to enhancing muscle
performance, treating athletic injuries, and relieving chronic pain.
She is able to target the most effective therapy by pinpointing the
root cause of a client’s physical concerns through her comprehensive
education in biomechanics, physiology, and anatomy. Injury
rehabilitation assessment and soft tissue damage prevention are the
cornerstones of her approach.
This Spring marks Alissa's fourth season as the Massage Therapist for
the New York Red Bulls (formerly the New York Metrostars), a
professional men’s soccer team (MLS). In addition, she has worked with
players in the NFL (New York Giants, and Denver Broncos). Currently,
she has a private practice in New York City, where she works with
athletes of all abilities and ages.
